This film is constructed from a single photograph; a portrait shot on 6x6cm medium format film scanned at high resolution.
The video consists of various tracks and pans across the surface of the original image with multiple superimpositions and rotations.
The subject of the portrait remains anonymous, the eyes are closed, the face in deep contemplation.
The video also embraces a clash of technologies, the analogue photo-chemical image is investigated almost to destruction by the digital software. The silver grain dissolving into itself in a series of slow manoeuvres that expose the foundational building blocks of the image making process.
