Artist Statement:
I am inspired by place; a landscape, a face, a movement, a certain way of saying things, a phrase or a specific sound. The angle of light or the absence of light; shadows and the effects of darkened rooms.
My work is non-narrative, or a hidden, broken narrative. I use elements of personal history, archives and half remembered dreams. I react to the historic, political, social state of the world, as seen through a distorted mirror.
